About the Phoenix Building

In 1917 architect O.C Uehling designed the Phoenix Knitting Co. Plant #4 to house Phoenix's dyeing, washing, and knitting operations. The historic building was renovated and renamed the Phoenix Building in 1980, when Mr. Herman Weingrod bought the building. Dr. Moser’s father, Bob, worked for the M. Weingrod Company from the day after he graduated from Rufus King High School in 1939 until his retirement in 1987.
